Wellsboro Classic 3 on 3
Basketball Tournament Successful!


Early team entry: Steve Meacham (Wellsboro, 2010), Brenton Acorn (Wellsboro, 2011), Max Marzlof (Wellsboro, 2011).

The Second Annual Wellsboro 3 on 3 Basketball Classic was held on Saturday, June 30th at Packer Park in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania (District 4).   Local teams from Wellsboro, Mansfield and Coudersport as well as teams from as far away as Harrisburg and Corning, NY came to play basketball.  The winners in each of the 4 divisions were as follows:

            7th/8th grade boys and girls: “The Cavs” with Kyle Wilcox, Che Keresites and Ethan Callahan

            High School boys: “The Velociraptors” with Charles Rodichok, Corey Bond and Casey Bond

            High School/Adult Women:  “Queens of the Court” with Susan Blackwell, Jessica Spencer, Jamie Painter and Tesia Kaczynski

            Adult Men: “PNT” with Josh Jessup, Thanan Tuitt, Colin McBride and Jeff Coffee

 

Special Contests in Free Throw Shooting, “Hot Shot” and Slam Dunk were also held with Bill Hoyt winning Free Throws, Tesia Kaczynski winning “Hot Shots” and Thanan Tuitt winning the Slam Dunk competition.

Tournament Director Mary Grab was on the job early checking the extra baskets that were added for the event.

Early competition winners: Bailey Lehman (Wellsboro, 2015), Jessica Grab (Wellsboro, 2013), Kallie Conte (Moon Twp, 2015), Brandon Starkweather (Wellsboro, 2015).
The new Wellsboro High School: their coaches, Steve Adams (boys) and Craig West (girls) were part of the event staff.

T-Shirts-each participant in the event received a t-shirt sponsored by Wellsboro Immaging.
