Sportsfest has grown to replace the Keystone Games as the best overall athletic competition in Pennsylvania
|
The Pennsylvania Basketball Website recommends the Sportsfest, see our editorial from last year HERE |
Sportsfest is the largest amateur athletic competition in the country. With over 50 different events ranging from boxing to lacrosse it is the most electric venue in which to hold our basketball tournament. Each year over 150,000 spectators view and 10,000 athletes compete, in a range of sports and events. As the most focalized sporting event at Sportsfest, with coverage from TV and radio to newspaper, it is our intention to continue to grow our tournament, to enhance the quality and competitive experience for coaches, their players and the spectators. Our goal is to get players experience and exposure; experience against teams from the northeast and exposure to college coaches, to help them continue on to the next level both academically and athletically.
Our tournament this year will be held July 16th-19th, 2009 at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown, PA in conjunction with Sportsfest. There will be more than 90 teams participating in our tournament this year with divisions that encompass boy’s 7th&8th grade (Risers), JV and Varsity as well as girls Varsity. The tournament structure is Round Robin/Pool Play style in the first round and then the final round Sunday will be single elimination, to determine our tournament champion.
The entire Sportsfest organization is devoted to providing the greatest experience for coaches, participants and their families throughout the entire four days. With all of the activities surrounding our marquis event, there is plenty to do for the whole family. There is no better environment to intertwine our tournament with that will provide such an amazing family atmosphere. So please, join us again this year, for the greatest sports experience the country has to offer. “A basketball tournament without Sportsfest is just a basketball tournament but a basketball tournament within Sportsfest is an experience” that you will definitely never forget.
