What is a Shootout?.............
it is an event designed to allow college basketball coaches to watch high school players in action.....
....it's an opportunity for players who want to participate in a competitive, one day event,  playing with top players and against other top players.

1-All players are placed on teams.
2-Each team plays three games during the day.
3-All players are substituted according to a number system that gives all...players an equal amount of playing time.
4-All teams play man-to-man defense.
5-All teams play a simple 5 person motion offense.
6-We don't shoot foul shots, they are taken out at the point nearest the...foul. This keeps the action moving since the Shootout is designed so that the college coaches can watch the players play.  But the games do use certified PIAA officials to referee the games.
7-Each player is given a numbered reversible, mesh jersey that identifies them for the coaches. ...Each college coach gets a packet that includes all the numbers and names of the players, and schedules for the day.
8-Players get to keep their special shootout reversible mesh jersey (pictured above).
9-Players  are evaluated by the scouting services and this information is posted lists on our website about two weeks after the event.
