What is a Shootout?.............
it is an event designed to allow college basketball coaches to watch high school players in action.....
....it's an opportunity for players who want to participate in a competitive one day event with and against other top players.

1-All players are placed on teams.
2-Each team plays three games during the day.
3-All players are substituted according to a number system that gives all...players an equal amount of playing time.
4-All teams play man-to-man defense.
5-All teams play a simple 3 out, 2 under, motion offense.
6-We don't shoot foul shots, they are taken out at the point nearest the...foul. This keeps the action moving since the Shootout is designed so that the college coaches can watch the players play.
(Note: We cannot guarantee how many coaches will attend our events.  We send out invitations to over 200 coaches.  Their attendance depends upon their schedules and their interest in certain players which they might already be recruiting.  We also have over 100 school signed up for our "Partnership with Colleges and Universities Program."  They receive followup material from each event.
7-Each player is given a numbered reversible, mesh jersey that identifies them for the coaches. ...Each college coach gets a packet that includes all the numbers, and schedules for the day. Their packet also includes the home address for each of the participants to make it easy for coaches to follow up with a note to those players whom they think might be appropriate for their college basketball program this year or in the future.
8-Players get to keep their special shootout jersey.
9-We do recognize the best players to attend after the Shootout by posting lists on our website.
