WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE: This course is designed for Susquehanna Twp. students who have to repeat 9th grade Global Studies.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course will examine six regions of the world while working with selected themes.
MATERIALS: Students will receive the following materials for the course: a textbook, a videotape, six maps, compare and contrast forms. Students need to purchase a spiral notebook
CRITICAL COMPETENCY:
1. Complete political and physical geography assignments.
2. Analyze the main ideas listed for each unit.
3. Cultivate an understanding of the culture and religion of other areas
of the world.
4. Demonstrate learning through application of learned concepts on selected
themes.
5-Utilize the internet to complete various research based assignments.

Second Unit(about a week)
South and Southeast Asia
Third Unit(about a week)

Mid Term Exam, in person at school
Students must bring their notebook, completed maps 1, 2, and 3, and completed assignments to the the mid-term test.
Fourth Unit(about a week)
Russia
Fifth Unit(about a week)
Latin America
Sixth Unit(about a week)
Africa
Final Exam, in person at school
Students must bring their notebook, completed maps 4, 5 and 6, and completed assignments to the the final test. The texbook and the videotape must be returned at the end of the course.
REQUIREMENTS:
1- Demonstrate map skills
2- Complete assignments
3-Examine Current Events online
4- Complete all unit theme projects
5- Score 100% on each unit test
6 -Successful participation in course activities according to the schedule.
7-Pass a proctored mid term and final final examination for the course.
