b. Use the map on pages 196-197 to label the outline map: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia. Label the capital cities, surrounding water bodies, rivers, physical features, and the Tropic of Cancer.

a. Read 215-217,  Use a compare and contrast form and use both your textbook and also internet sites to compare and contrast Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. (Note: you need five entries in each contrast and compare).
b. Read pp220-221, In your notebook, explain the religious and cultural differences between India and Pakistan. Then explain their differences over the territory of Kashmir.
c. On page 226, it says that "the U. S. cut off military aid to Pakistan" in 1991, but why did the U. S. decide to become friends with Pakistan after Sept 11, 2001?(Check the internet). Email your answer to Mr. Gaffey at -the question: Why did the U. S. decide to become friends with Pakistan after Sept 11, 2001?  wgaffey@pa.net
