Identify: the Opium War, indemnity, Kuomintang, warlord, Sun Yat-sen, Chiang
Kai-shek, Mao Zedong.
c. Find out why the Nationalists lost control of China to the Communists.
Read your text 256-258 to see what you can find, then go out on the internet
and find a source that provides information on this issue. Then email your
answer to wgaffey@pa.net. Please provide your answer in two paragraphs in sentence form. The
question: How did the Nationalists lose control of China to the Communists?
Or the question could be: How did the Communists take control of China?
