For the 15th consecutive year the Spring Shootout produced over 150 participants at the event. So far I have my “Fab Five” for the first of the three Spring Shootouts. I will have my girl's results posted soon!!

PRYSTAL SCOUTING SERVICE “FAB 5”;

HUNTER DICK – The 6’10” post player from State College, PA tops the list. Hunter has a complete low post presence at both ends as he displayed during the course of his 3 games. He reminds me of Steve Zack who has attended this Shootout in the past who is headed for Divison 1 LaSalle. They have similar games.

CODY DEAL – The 6’2” stud from Lower Dauphin HS was a All League performer as a Junior and it showed at the Shootout! Cody has a college basketball type body at 6’2” and showed the ability to handle the ball as well as score inside and outside throughout the day.

CORI EBERSOLE – from AAAA Dallastown in the York County League. He was the wingman so to speak of Four Mcglynn who will attend Division 1 Vermont this past season. He showed on his own that he has versatility at 6’2” to shoot the 3 or attack the rim. He was consistently scoring all day long and was the buzz of the 2011 senior attendees.

NATHAN ALAMARODE – This 6’4” player from Warren County, Virginia was not very flashy, but he was VERY efficient. He had a deadly mid-range J and ran the floor on every single possession. He can play with his back to the basket or facing the basket and couple that with the fact that he does all the little things that college coaches are looking for.

CARLTON WHITEHEAD  - He is out of the Philadelphia Area at Conwell Egan High School. He also had a well rounded game with athleticism to boot. Most great “athletes” don’t have the basketball “skills” to go with their game. Whitehead handled it and scored the ball in a variety of ways. He did this throughout his 3 game schedule during the day.

COLLEGE COACH QUOTE OF THE DAY – Thad Phillips who made the 4 hour trek from Keuka College in New York: “ I like the home addresses and phone numbers I get on each player so I don’t have to call the schools on Monday morning trying to track the kids down! I have their contact info right at my finger tips.
