VILLANOVA, PA — January 22, 2009 – The PrimeTime Shootout will kick off in Philadelphia with a three-day event on Friday, January 29, Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31 at Villanova University.

Highlighting this year’s event are some of the best high school teams both locally and across the country. Featured teams include Academy of the New Church (Bryn Athyn, PA); Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA); Camden Catholic (Cherry Hill, NJ); Chester High School (Chester, PA); Hotchkiss School (Lakeville, CT); Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA); Pennington School (Pennington, NJ); Plymouth-Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA); and Roman Catholic (Philadelphia, PA).

With the top teams, comes the top talent in the nation, including Plymouth Whitemarsh ‘s CJ Aiken, who committed to St. Joseph’s and Jason Morris of Hotchkiss, committed to Georgia Tech. Boston University commit Anthony Mayo of Roman Catholic, will be joined there by DJ Irving of Archbishop Carroll.  Other top players include Tyrone Garland, Erik Copes, Rakeem Christmas and many others.

The mission of the PrimeTime Shootout is to provide an opportunity for high school athletes to showcase their talent in a safe, supportive, tournament-like atmosphere.
