Ambridge Tournament.  Central Catholic overcame a 35-29 halftime deficit to defeat defending PIAA Class AAAA champion Schenley, 72-59, in the final of the Ambridge tournament. Matt McKenna scored  25 points for the Central. Deandre Kane scored 31 for Schenley.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Annville-Cleona Tournament.  Middletown’s Patrick Mulligan found his stroke, leading the Blue Raiders to a 49-38 victory over Annville-Cleona.  (Lebanon Daily News)

Art Burkett Memorial Tournament.  The Harmony girls’ basketball team came up big in the final minutes and captured their first-ever Art Burkett Memorial Tournament championship with a 72-64 win over the host Portage Mustangs on Saturday night.  (Johnstown Tribune Democrat)

Bermudian Springs Tip-Off Tournament.  Colt Zarilla hand the hot hand for Dover on Saturday, sinking 20 points - including four 3-pointers - to led the Eagles to the Bermudian Springs Tip-Off Tournament title with a 54-49 victory over host Bermudian Springs.  The all-tournament team consisted of Dover's Zarilla (MVP) and Mike Coleman, Bermudian's Hartzell and Adam Stroup, Lampeter-Strasburg's Andre Dubois and Camp Hill's Ryan Stroup. Berwick Tournament.  Vince Molesky scored a game-high 22 points and was an all-tournament selection at the Berwick Tournament where Montoursville defeated Bloomsburg, 56-48 in the consolation game.  (Williamsport Sun Gazette)

Bethel Park Tournament.  Elizabeth Forward's Paige Pearce made a winning shot at the buzzer to beat one of the top teams in the WPIAL.  Pearce's short baseline jumper represented the decisive points in the Warriors' 52-51 victory against Bethel Park in the final last night of the Bethel Park tournament.  Paige also had a buzzer-beating shot in a 39-38 win against North Catholic Friday night.   (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Blackhawk Tournament.  Mark Javens made two free throws with seven seconds left to give Hopewell a 60-59 win against Blackhawk in the final of the Blackhawk tournament. (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Butler Tournament.  Ambridge's Kiki Brown scored 40 of the Bridgers' 58 points in a 58-54 victory against Hollidaysburg in the consolation game of the Butler tournament.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Canon-McMillan Tip-Off Tournament.
  It's not how a team starts a game that matters, but rather how it finishes. The Prexies jumped out to a 17-9 lead after the first quarter against Canon-McMillan in the championship game of the Canon-McMillan Tip-Off Tournament. Canton Tournament.  Brian Fagley earned Tournament MVP honors and scored 12 points as South Williamsport (2-0) defeated Canton, 61-57 in the Canton Tournament championship. Canton forced overtime after trailing by 18 points at halftime and had 12 3-pointers.  (Williamsport Sun Gazette)

Cap Werkheiser Memorial Tip-off Tournament (boys).  Host Pocono Mountain East beat Delaware Valley, 70-60, in the tournament final.  Kyheim Hall led the Cardinals with 16 points. Hall and Matt Lepri were named to the all-tournament team for the Cards.  (Pocono Record)

Cap Werkheiser Memorial Tip-off Tournament (girls).  Amanda Riley had 19 points, five assists and four steals to lead Pocono Mountain East over Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg 61-26 on Saturday. The Cards won the Cap Werkheiser Memorial Tip-off Tournament.  Paige Carlin added 16 points and Christina Smith grabbed 12 rebounds for the Cardinals. The Spartan's Emily Mullen, and Cardinal's Paige Carlin, and Amanda Riley were named to the all tournament team.  (Pocono Record).

Carlisle Tipoff Tournament (boys).  New coach Emery Cook guided the Carlisle Thurdering Herd to the championship with a 76-51 win over Mechanicsburg.  (Harrisburg Patriot News)

Central York Tip-off Tournament.  Central York 60, Lancaster Catholic 43: Cold shooting doomed the Crusaders in the championship game of the Central York Tip-off Tournament.  (Lancaster Intelligencer Journal)

Chester Tipoff Tournament.  Fred Pickett's players at Chester High gave their coach two reasons to celebrate Saturday night.  First the Clippers knocked off Simon Gratz, 63-43, to win the Chester Tip-Off Tournament.  And in the process, Pickett notched his 300th career coaching victory.  Kevin Green-Germany was named the tournament MVP.  (Dave Burman)

County National Bank/Stoltz Family of Dealerships Central Catholic Tip-Off Tournament   A sluggish fourth quarter very nearly cost the DuBois Central Catholic High School boys' basketball team the top spot in the County National Bank/Stoltz Family of Dealerships Central Catholic Tip-Off Tournament Saturday. Still, the Cardinals (2-0) were able to hang on for a 56-50 win over St. Joseph's.  (DuBois Courier Express)

Cougar Classic.  Salem Christian 56, Berks Christian 47: At Conestoga, Brian Green scored 13 points and gathered 15 rebounds to pace Salem Christian in the championship game of the Cougar Classic.  Ronmale Hutt led Salem with 17 points and Brendon Conrad added 14.  (Allentown Morning Call)

Cougar Classic. (NEWTOWN)— Agnes Irwin 53, George School 31, Lisa Bernardini scored a team-high 13 points in a losing effort in the championship game of the Cougar Classic.  (Bucks County Courier Times)

Cumberland Valley Tipoff.  Susquehanna Twp. defeated host CV 80-71.  Ben Dupree led the Indians with 24, Matt Jones had 17, and the new transfer from  Brooklyn (NY), Greg Edwards had 12.  (Harrisburg Patriot News)

Eastern Pennsylvania Tipoff Classic.  McCaskey began its annual hazardous nonleague schedule in impressive fashion Saturday, defeating Coatesville 64-49 in the championship game of the Eastern Pennsylvania Tipoff Classic at Coatesville High School.  (Lancaster Intelligencer Journal)

Franklin Tournament.  Upper St. Clair was on pace to break the century mark, but the Panthers settled for a 95-33 rout of Bradford in the first round of the Franklin tournament. Upper St. Clair, the district's No. 1-ranked team in Class AAAA , was paced by Alex Gensler's 18 points. Meghan McLean added 16. Andrea Pion and Morgan Mlinac contributed 13 and 11 respectively. Giant Eagle Tipoff Tournament.  Tussey Mountain clipped host Central, 48-47 in overtime in the championship game of the Giant Eagle Tipoff Tournament to give Dave Bailey his 600th career coaching victory.

Glen Mills Tournament.  Dwayne Davis scored 25 points and captured the MVP trophy to lead Strawberry Mansion to a 71-60 win over host Glen Mills in the title game.

Governor Mifflin Tournament.  Red Land 58, Cocalico 38: Jermaine Marshall scored a game-high 18 points and was supported by 11 points from Nick Liddell as Red Land ran away to win the championship game of the Governor Mifflin Tournament.  (Lancaster Intelligencer Journal)

Harrisburg Girl's Tipoff.   Altoona out  scored host Harrisburg in three point goals 4-0, but Harrisburg's defense won the game 65-51.   (Harrisburg Patriot News)

Harmony Tip-Off Tournament.  Harmony, led by 26 points from Joey Schneider, defeated Glendale, 86-74, and won the Harmony Tip-Off Tournament. The Owls’ Daran Peace won MVP honors.   (Altoona Mirror)

Hatboro-Horsham Tipoff Classic.  Northeast 47, Allentown Central Catholic 37: At Hatboro-Horsham, Becky Guman scored 17 points but it wasn't enough to lead Central Catholic past Northeast in the championship game of the Hatboro-Horsham Tipoff Classic.  Taylor Maldonado had 11 points for the Vikettes.   (Allentown Morning Call)

Haverford Sports Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.  Moira Corrigan, a 6-1 Haverford freshman, scored 16 points, grabbed 13 rebounds (seven offensive), blocked two shots and had one assist to help the Fords to a 43-37 victory over Pennsbury in the championship game of the Haverford Sports Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.  Corrigan,  was named most valuable player.  (Delco Times)

Hawley Rotary Tournament.   Tim Silsby had 12 points to lead Wallenpaupack to a 47-28 win over Monticello, N.Y., in the final of the Hawley Rotary Tournament on Saturday.  (Scranton Times Tribune)

Homer-Center Tournament.   Despite three players reaching double-digit scoring, Homer-Center narrowly fell to Shade 59-56 in the championship game of its tournament.  Trailing 32-26 at the half, Homer-Center cut the lead to four points by outscoring Shade 16-14 in the third quarter. The Wildcats then outscored Shade 14-13 in the fourth quarter but fell three points shy of completing the comeback.  (Indiana Gazette)

Hopewell Tournament.  Nikki Wise had 20 points as defending WPIAL Class AAAA champion New Castle defeated reigning Class AAA titlist Hopewell, 41-38, in the championship of the Hopewell tournament. Elise Farris led the Vikings with 17 points.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Indiana Tip-Off Tournament (boy's).  One night after blowing out Derry, the Indians won the Indiana Tip-Off Tournament championship by beating Allderdice, 62-39, at Fifth Street Gymnasium on Saturday night  following their 82-27 win over Derry on Friday.  Indiana senior guard Brett  Johnson was named tournament MVP after scoring 31 points in the two-day event. Senior Dom Lombardi and sophomore Kevin Stapleton joined him on the all-tournament team.   (Indiana Gazette)

Indiana Tip-Off Tournament (girl's). Tiarra Stossel pulled Indiana ahead with a pivotal shot and clinched the game at the foul line, as the Indians captured the Indiana Tip-Off Tournament title by edging Kiski Area, 54-52, at Fifth Street Gymaisium on Saturday night.  Stossel scored a game-high 17 points and had three steals. With Indiana trailing 50-49 with 1:30 remaining in the game, the tournament MVP gave the Indians a 52-50 lead by draining one of her three 3-pointers. (Indiana Gazette)

Interboro Tournament.  Kristen Gilroy scored a game-high 14 points on Saturday to lead Bensalem to a 50-28 victory over Interboro in the championship game of the Interboro Tournament. Gilroy was named Tournament Most Valuable Player. Megan Pritchard scored 11 points and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Sharmane Hall had seven points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots.  (Bucks County Courier Times)

Lady Cougar Tip-Off.  Becky Burke added another milestone Saturday night while leading Abington Heights to a 51-33 win over Hazleton Area in the championship game of the Lady Cougar Tip-Off.   Burke was named Tournament MVP and passed 1,500 career points on a second-quarter 3-pointer. She finished with 31 points, including 10-for-10 from the free throw line. (Scranton Times Tribune)

19th Lady Marauder Classic.  Bishop Guilfoyle came out on top, 59-55, in a double-overtime thriller over Northern Cmabria Saturday night that left both teams emotionally drained after 40 minutes of end-to-end, nose-to-nose action.  Alli Williams nailed back-to-back 3-pointers in the final 14 seconds to force the second overtime and was named  the tournament MVP.  (Altoona Mirror)

Lady Titan Tipoff Tournament.  Tournament outstanding player Christina Claar earned her title hitting a 3-pointer at the buzzer in overtime to help Claysburg-Kimmel stun Bellwood-Antis, 41-38, to win the Lady Titan Tipoff Tournament in high school girls basketball.   (Altoona Mirror)

Lebanon Tipoff Tournamant. Lebanon 56, Hempfield 53: The Cedars won an overtime thriller in the final of their own tipoff tourney.  Jared Spancake who gained recognition at the Pennsylvania/Maryland Shootout in October scored 20 points to lead Lebanon. Lewistown Tournament.  Milton’s boys basketball team played well all around and defeated Lewistown, 79-55 in the Lewistown Tournament championship. Tony Fannick was tournament MVP after scoring 17 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out 10 assists. Brandon Smith (16 points) and Nick Ferguson (10 points) also were all-tournament selections.  (Williamsport Sun Gazette)

Main Line Scholastic Play-By-Play Classic.  Lower Merion nipped  Prep Charter 62-61.  Lower Merion trailed, 59-53, with 1 minutes, 10 seconds remaining. The Aces' rally started when senior point guard Carl Johnson (11 points) hit a driving layup to make it 59-55, and Steve Meehan (game-high 17 points, voted team MVP) hit his fifth three-pointer to make it 59-58 with 31 seconds left.  Harley Williamson  took a long mid-court inbounds pass from Kevin Escott  with 0.4 seconds and sank a 10-footer  to keep the Aces, ranked No. 5 in The Inquirer's preseason Top 10, undefeated at 5-0.   (Chris Goldberg, The Inquirer)

Mercer Tourney Championship.  Mercer 61, Conneaut Valley 50 — The Mustangs led 42-41 after 3 quarters and outscored the Indians 19-9 in the final frame to win the title game.  Dustin Snyder, the tourney MVP, led Mercer with 24 points.  (Sharon Herald)

Montour Tournament.  Sto-Rox edged Schenley, 35-34, in the Montour tournament. Kerry Connolly led the Vikings with 14 points, hitting a clutch 3-point shot with less than a minute left. Markel Walker scored 17 points for Schenley.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

North Allegheny Tournament..  Ellen Kenitz had 22 points to lead Mars to a 49-46 win against Woodland Hills in the final of the North Allegheny tournament.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

North Hills Tournament.  Chartiers Valley  was held to a total of five 3-pointers and failed to make a field goal in the fourth quarter of their 45-40 loss to Hampton in the championship game.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Paul Corby Tip-off Tournament. Boiling Springs rode its defense to a 56-28 win over James Buchanan in the championship game of the Paul Corby Tip-off Tournament.  It was the Bubblers’ seventh tournament title to go with seven second-place finishes in the 16 years of the Tourney.  (Carlisle Sentinel)

Penn Manor tournament.  Kelsey Caruthers scored 20 points and Penn Manor outscored Central York 35-26 in the second half to pull out a 57-52 victory in the championship game of the Penn Manor tournament.  (Lancaster Intelligencer Journal)

Pine-Richland Tournament.  Pine-Richland edged Penn Hills, 60-58, to claim the title of its tournament. Brett Matson had seven of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter for the Rams.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Ridley Tip-Off Tournament.   Dan Robinson scored 28 points, but the host Green Raiders were outscored in the third period, 22-10, and bowed in the final of the Ridley Tip-Off Tournament.  Communications Tech defeated host Ridley, 58-56.  (Delco Times)

Ringgold Tournament.  Villa Maria of District 10 romped to a 57-32 victory against WPIAL Class AA No. 1 Greensburg Central Catholic at the Ringgold tournament. The Centurions were outscored in each quarter and trailed, 26-13, at halftime. No Greensburg Central Catholic player reached double figures.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Rick Fragle Sharon Lady Tiger Classic Championship.  Sharon 55, Reynolds 41Led by tourney MVP Candance Smith’s game-high 19-point performance and Danielle Taylor’s 14, the host Lady Tigers (2-0) triumphed in the title tilt.  (Sharon Herald)

Ron Davidson’s Roundball Classic. Central Cambria successfully defended its championship of the second Ron Davidson’s Roundball Classic Saturday night with a 68-60 victory over  Penn Cambria.  (Johnstown Tribune Democrat)

Sayre Tipoff Tournament.  Sayre's Chelsea Tracy dropped home 24 points and Elizabeth Higley cleaned the glass for 12 rebounds with 16 points to lead the Lady Redskins to a 54-30 rout of Bath in the championship game of the ladies half of the Sayre Tipoff Tournament Saturday evening.  Tracy earned the tournament's MVP award. Shaler Tournament.  Olivia DiNucci had 28 points to pace Shaler to a 63-61 win against Hempfield in the Shaler tournament final. Maria Montini had 24 points for Hempfield.  (Pittsburgh Post Gazette)

Shaler Tournament.  Hempfield got 20 points from Jenn West as the Spartans topped Chartiers Valley, 53-42, at the Shaler tournament. Hempfield led, 26-20, at halftime. In the tournament's other first-round contest, host Shaler defeated Thomas Jefferson, 62-43, outscoring the Jaguars in every quarter. Southern Lehigh Tournament.  Corey Steltz scored 25 points to lead Emmaus to a 69-55 win over Southern Lehigh in the championship at the Southern Lehigh Tournament in Center Valley. Kevin McKeegan had 15 points and Frankie Wisley had 12 for the Green Hornets.   (Allentown Morning Call)

Sayre Tournament.  Sullivan County’s Nic Wilkins was named the Sayre Tournament’s Most Oustanding Player after his 5-steal, 15-rebound effort in a 42-37 win over Edison, NY, in the title game. He had 25 rebounds over the two games.  (Williamsport Sun Gazette)

Troy Tournament.   Jake Cox scored 12 points to power Jersey Shore past North Penn in the championship game of the Troy tournament. Nick Bowne had 17 points and 13 rebounds for North Penn.  (Williamsport Sun Gazette)

Trinity Tournament.  Class AA Washington handled Class AAAA Penn Hills, 72-47, at the Trinity tournament. Jocelyn Floyd led the Lady Prexies with 21 points. Jenna Phillips added 18. West York Tip-off Tournament.   One night after a thrilling 62-61 upset of defending Class AAA district champ Eastern York, the Palmyra Cougars came down to earth a bit last night, falling to the host, West York 31-27 in the tourney championship game.  (Lebanon Daily News)
