Cato-Meridian (NY) (2011) "Where there is a will there is away!"  This versatile swing man rode the bus 4 and a half hours Saturday to get to Harrisburg for the Shootout and then rode the bus 4 and a half hours on Sunday after the event to get home.  His determination and fortitude alone make him an outstanding young man and a good prospect!

Northern Lebanon (2011) can list a whole host of additional activities besides basketball.  She also in the band and the choir as well as being in track.  She is raked 6th in her class and has her sights set on attending Duke or Brown University.

Breland Roach, Harrisburg
(2009) he was one of the leading players in the state this past season.  He played for Pennsylvania in our Pennsylvania vs New Jersey All-Star Game this year and led Pennsylvania to a 112  to 107 win over New Jersey.  He is yet another example of the outstanding players who participated in the Spring Shootout.  Now he heads off to a collegiate basketball career.

Faith Christian (WV) (2010) he came to the shootout as his school's Class President and goals to pursue a degree in engineering at either North Carolina or Georgia Tech.His fudamentally sound game earns him the opportunity to play for the South in our 2010 North-South Senior All-Star Game next season when he will be a senior.

Dylan Edgar,
Mechanicsburg (2010) at 6'8" he came to the shootout  with an impressive class rank of 68 out of 292 and a 90% grade point average.  He averaged 12 a game as a junior and will be watched closely by the scouts in the fall.  He will definitely be invited to the Fall Shootout.

Chris Franklin, Susquehanna Twp. (1991)-attended our shootouts as one of our scouting evaluators on two occasions.  This past season he appeared in the NBA celebrity All-Star Game as a representative from the world famous Harlem Globetrotters where he is known as "Mr. Handles."  He played for Shootout Director Bill Gaffey in high school.  The photo below (Fall 2005 Shootout) shows "Mr. Handles" scouting with a clip board.

Vladimir Vukovich, Crisfield (MD)  (2009) is an example of the progression from the Shootout.  He participated as a Junior in the Pennsylvania /Maryland Fall 2008 Shootout.  As a result, he was invited to play for Maryland in the 2009 Pennsylvania vs Maryland Senior All-Star game.  His team, Maryland won 116-112 and he was extended invitations to play college basketball.  He also played in the Spring 2009 Shootout.

Ryan Warner, Boiling Springs (2010) is an example of the player that we have tracked in his Junior Year and invited to the Shootout.  In a January game vs Milton Hershey, he scored 7 points.  He then scored 9 in a District 3 playoff in over West York, and had 13 in the playoff game with Steelton.  He will be invited back to the Fall Shootout after playing well in the Spring event.

Steve Zac, Red Land (2010) is an example of the player that we have tracked in his Junior Year and invited to the Shootout.  He helped to lead his unseeded team thru three playoff wins into the Class AAAA semi-finals vs C.D. East.  He scored 18 in that game.  He will be invited back to the Fall Shootout after playing well in the Spring event.

Katie Sinnott, Long Island Lutheran
(2010) was already blocking shots for St. Dominic's CYO basketball team in grades 7 and 8.  As a junior, she helped lead Long Island Lutheran to the NYSAISAA B Division title over Fieldston.  Her team finished the season 20-5.  As a result she was invited to the Shootout.  Her all around play has earned her an invitation to play in the Fall Shootout which draws the most attention of any event on the East Coast.

Charlene Hook,
Columbia-Montour  (2011) averaged  10 points a game as part of the Hook-sister tandem at Columbia-Montour High School.  She lists Kutztown, Lehigh, and Lafeyette as her top college choices where she hopes to pursue a career in pediatric nursing. She is ranked 19th in a class of 164.  Her aggressive play in the spring shootout has earned her an invitation to return to our prestigious Fall Shootout in October.

(2010) she came to the shootout with college aspirations to attend either Albright, Kutztown, or Lock Haven   She also plays softball and is active in the yearbook.  As a senior next year, she becomes  eligible to play  in our 2010 Mid-Penn vs  PA Select Senior All-Star Game.

Crisfeld Academy (MD) (2012) he was the 2007 Maryland State Champion in the "Hoop Shoot."  He carries a 3.25 GPA.  He had 50 three pointers as a Freshman on the varsity team with 12 starts.  He has been impressive in his two years at the Pennsylvania/Maryland Shootout.

Susquehanna Twp (2010) is one of the top guards in the state and is being recruited by D-1 schools.  He helped lead the Indians as a Class AAA state contender two straight years as an underclassman.  His father was a top-notch, three sport standout at Susquehanna Twp. High School.

(2010) she came to the shootout from the top 20% of her class.   She also plays tennis and soccer. She plans to enroll in either biology or physics with a minor in math. As a senior next year, she becomes  eligible to play for the PA Select Girl's in our 2010 Mid-Penn vs  PA Select Senior All-Star Game.

Francis Scott Key (MD) (2010) she came to the shootout as an all-county and all-conference player where she scored  14.5 per game this past season. She takes honors classes and sports a 3.75 grade point average in a high school with an enrollment of 1,233 students.

Springfield Twp (2010) she came to the shootout with a 3.65 grade point average and her sights set on a career in Computer Science.  She also plays tennis and lacrosse. At 5'8 and a senior next year, she becomes  eligible to play for the East in our 2010 East-West Senior All-Star Game next season when she will be a senior.

State College (2010) at 6'4" he came to the shootout  a student in the top 10% of his class at one of the state's best academic and athletic schools in Pennsylvania.  His fine play at the Shootout earns him an invitation to the 2010 Senior All-Star Game in Harrisburg.

Gerry McNamara, Bishop Hannan (2001)-attended our shootout in his sophomore and his senior years in high school.  Parents and players who attend out shootout often ask, "How many college coaches will be there?"  Well, 52 schools came in 2001 to see McNamara.  Following his senior season, McNamara was named the 2002  Gatorade Player of the Year and went on to a great Syracuse University career.  His photos and jerseys are still on display at Stirna's Restaurant from his playing days in Scranton and his career has become one of legend.
