Note: Indiana state Sen. Vaneta Becker, R-Evansville, introduced a bill that would set "performance standards" for singing and playing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at events sponsored by public schools and state universities. The guidelines would require the national anthem to be performed "the way that we normally have it sung or heard throughout most of our state and our country," and the bill would call for fines for those who don't comply. Schools would be required to record performances and save them for review. ( Star Press, 1/4/12) |

She is absolutely brilliant and has also had lead roles in all of our school’s musical productions.
