The Narberth boys league is enjoying its 67th season of blacktop basketball.
The co-directors are Dan Kazinicka and Mike Herron, in his 7th
year of helping to run the program. Of course, when you learn that Wilt
Chamberlain, Artis Gilmore, Kobe Bryant and to a lesser degree Lynn Greer,
John Linehan and Reggie Redding all played in Narberth, it adds to their
credentials.
And while the league has an open enrollment policy including players who
do not play high school ball, there were 21 Division I basketball players in
2006 that were Narberth League alumni.
And with the cost of playing in the league a mere $60 per kid, rosters fill up
quickly.
"We've had to turn away 150 kids this year because we just didn't have the
