Basketball season has started
No more outdoor basketball.  The game has moved inside.  Practice has  started, games are coming soon!
Then each night half of the teams win and half of the teams lose-Who will be the winners and who will be the losers?  The Philadelphia 76ers lost 17 straight (then they won to end the streak)- what are the records:
Winning Streaks
159-National Record: Passic High School (NJ), they won  159, straight from 1919-1925
Losing Streaks
243-1995-the Carbondale Sacred Heart Girl's team came from 11 down in the second half to defeat Blue Ridge 49-48 to end a losing streak that went back to January of 1981 and the Lady Crusaders made first year Coach Jesse Whittington the winningest coach in fourteen years at Carbondale Sacred Heart.  Back in 1981 when Carbondale won their last game against Old Forge, they were called the Lady Roses. (Scranton Tribune)
Kobe Bryant had 12 assists in one game this year, almost more assists than he had in an entire season in his first year in the league!   What is the record in high school for assists in one game?  A girl in Michigan had 24 in one game in 2010!   Julian Newman, Downey Christian (FL) was selected the player of the game for the basketball team's game against Life Christian Academy on Dec 1, 2014 and had 13 assists- but the score was 135 to 11-should we care about stats in such a game?
