12/10/11, Marc Twardzik and Josh Dombrosky had 12 points apiece, with Dombrosky hitting the game-winning bucket with 29 seconds left to lift Shenandoah to a thrilling, come-from-behind 44-43 victory over Pine Grove.    (Pottsville Republican)

In its first game of the season, Class AAA No. 2 Montour (1-0, 1-0) got seven 3-pointers apiece from Rob Julian (23 points) and Kevin Scuilli (21) to blow out host McGuffey (3-4, 0-2), 88-39, in Section 5. Scuilli (left) was a Shootout selection in October.

The High individual game in 2010 was a joke and a sad joke at that:   Devonte' "DJ" Newbill,  Strawberry Mansion  scored  64 in a 105-14 win over W.B. Saul. At one point the score was 37-0 with Strawberry Mansion pressing full court.  We can report  the record but we don't condone running up the score.  It's a shallow record.

-GAR 48, Scranton Prep 47. Shaliek Powell, GAR connected on a pair of free throws with just four tenths of a second remaining to lift the Grenadiers over No. 5 Scranton Prep. 12/14/11 Scranton Times Tribune)
