2009 Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp All-Stars…

By Van Coleman van@hoopmasters.com

Top 25 Cream of the Crop - (Recognizing  the NJ players from the list only))

Brandon Taylor 6-7 2012
Trenton, NJ Catholic – Big strong rebounder is tough when he stays in the paint. He has range to arc, but his game skills are built for the blocks. Mids-up should monitor him.

Kyle Anderson 6-7 2012
Paterson, NJ Catholic – He had a double-double in the All-Star game to show he can get to ball off the boards as well as handle on break or off the dribble. He told us that He has offers from Pittsburgh, St. John's, Georgetown, La Salle, and interest from Miami (FL), Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Kansas, Texas, Oregon State, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Michigan, and Indiana.

Dominic Hoffman 6-7 2012 Gill,
NJ St. Bernard's – Face-up big man popped 16-footer and did good job finishing in paint off the post-up. He attacks glass and will see D-1 looks in the future.

Dwayne Foreman 6-5 2013
Ramsey, NJ Don Bosco – This long and lean face-up combo forward showed range to the arc and ability to score off the dribble at the rim. He should have mids on up watching his development.

Reggie Cameron 6-5 2013
Paterson, NJ Catholic – This young insider did a solid job on the glass and finished around the hoop. He has good hands on blocks and can pop 10-footer on pop too

Carson Puriefoy 5-11 2012
Pennsauken, NJ Bishop Eustace – Another combo who can really score off dribble at the rim or stick 18-footer if left open. He will “D” you up and has quicks to develop into stopper in the future. As decisions at point mature, he will see lots of D-1's in the gym.

Kavon Stewart 5-10 2013
Paterson, NJ Catholic – Young floor leader grew on me as weekend went on. He hit jumper from perimeter, made solid decisions off the dribble, and looked to make pass first. Another point who will see interest this winter.

2009 Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp All-Stars…
By Van Coleman van@hoopmasters.com
The Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp featured some of top young prospects in the New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Baltimore, and Philadelphia areas…
We'd like to thank our good friend Dinos Trigonis for this hospitality this weekend at the 2009 Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp held at the RiverWinds Center in Thorofare, NJ.

The two “Cream of the Crop” All-Star games were very competitive and were decided by less than a basket. In the Top 25 Game the Black squad led by Savon Goodman, with 28 points, upended the White squad 82-80. Goodman got solid support from Dwayne Foreman with 13 points, Carson Puriefoy with 11 points and Omar Calhoun who chipped in with 10 points. The White squad was led by Kerwin Okoro who finished with 24 points, while Kyle Anderson added a double-double with 15 points and a dozen boards in the loss.

The Top 50 game was even closer as the White squad edged the Black team 63-62 in a competitive thriller. Jordan Strickler led the White team with 10 points while Yosef Yacob chipped in with 9 points. The top gun fro the Black team was Marquis Marshall who had 10 points while Stephon McNair and Dexter Harris add 9 each in the tough loss.
