Niles McKinley's basketball team got a big start
12/12/12, The Dragons  managed an easy 55-38 win Tuesday.over the Lakeview Bulldogs in opening an 18-point lead at the end of the quarter. Shooting with uncanny accuracy from the perimeter and forcing the Bulldogs into 12 turnovers in the period, the Dragons had a 22-1 lead before settling into a more normal style of play.    (Tribune-Chronicle)
Twinsburg's girls basketball team off to a winning start
11/24/12, Defending Division I girls state basketball champion Twinsburg passed a huge test this weekend. The Tigers, ranked No. 4 in The Plain Dealer Preseason Top 25 Poll, defeated Northland, 57-46, on Saturday at the Gary West Tipoff Classic at Reynoldsburg behind sophomore guard Aloneet Durden’s 17 points, five rebounds and three assists.  (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

Richard Parker’s 3-point basket from the top of the key off an inbounds play with 1.2 seconds remaining in overtime gave Garfield Heights a 62-60 victory over host Shaker Heights.  (Plain Dealer, 1/18/13)
Norton 51, Green 42, Jaclyn Fortner’s 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and Cara Cook’s 13 points and 11 rebounds led the Panthers to the Turkey Tip-off title over the Green Bulldogs. (Plain Dealer)

Foul Shooting:
