Catholic senior Clark Hindelang returned to
action with a bang last night as the Crusaders (8-7) won a crucial game to
keep playoff hopes alive by defeating St. Joseph's of Hammonton(11-4) 69-63.
Hindelang, fresh off an ankle injury which sidelined him
for 2 games, finished with a double-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds, 5
assists, and 3 steals in 30 minutes of action. Hindelang is
currently averaging 16.8 ppg and 10.5 rebounds. 12/30/07, Holy Cross 61, Communications Tech, Pa. 57: Justin Swidowski scored 25 points, two shy of his career-high, as the Lancers won the championship game of the Seashore Cup Bracket of the Wildwoods Boardwalk Basketball Classic. He added a game-high 12 rebounds to the Lancers cause.
12/19/07, Shayla Llanos surpassed the 1,000-point plateau on a long-range
jumper in the second quarter, and the senior guard went on to score 26 to
help host Salem slam Pitman, 57-31, yesterday in Tri-County
Conference girls' basketball. Llanos boosted her career total to 1,013
points. Mary Beato topped Pitman's scoring with 15 points.
