Delaware Boys Basketball Star Player Mark Medley Commits

By Curtis Watkins of LLHOOPS.COM Delaware Boy's Basketball Editor

Mark Medley, who is a 6’3” senior shooting guard from Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware, made a verbal commitment on Friday August 20th to attend Rider University of the Metro Atlantic Basketball Conference. Medley, who is rated as the #4 high school basketball player in the state of Delaware by LLHOOPS.COM, had a very successful AAU basketball season this summer. He helped lead the East Coast Elite (DE) team to the Silver Division championship of the National 17 and under AAU Super Showcase in Orlando, Florida in July. Tatnall basketball coach Anthony Wright said, “Mark just decided that attending Rider and playing for the Broncos was a perfect fit for him academically and athletically.”  He averaged 19 points per game and 10 rebounds and led the Tatnall Hornets to a Final Four appearance in the Delaware boys’ state tournament last season.  He also was a 2nd team all-state selection in the 2009-2010 season. Medley is the 2nd Delaware player to commit to Rider University. Former first team All-State 6’4” shooting guard Anthony Myles from Polytech High School will be a freshman for the 2010-2011 college basketball season for the Broncos

Mark Medley can sign his National letter of intent in November 2010 when the first signing period begins.
