Rule Change: Can you imagine that in March of 1948, the National Collegiate Basketball Committee voted favorably on four rule changes-one was "permitting a coach to talk to his team during a time out at his bench."

An interesting change!!

We get letters!!
May 07, 2007
Mr. Gaffey,
I wanted to say thank you for all of the exposure that you gave my
daughter, Ashley Fortney, on the Pennsylvania Basketball website.  She has committed to Buffalo State College in Buffalo New York, which is a State University of New York  college.  Without the exposure that you provided her, it is very doubtful that she would have had the opportunity to play basketball at Buffalo State. The Buffalo State women’s basketball coach acknowledges that her first knowledge of Ashley was through your website.  Once again, I sincerely thank you for all of your support.
Sincerely,
Dennis W. Fortney
Editors note: Ashley played at Fauquier H. S. in Virginia and attended our shootouts.
