2021 News -Following key performances  this year
55 Vinnie Cugini-Aquinas Academy super sophomore Vinnie Cugini proved he could drive, stop and pop for 55. (1/22/21)
Last season’s WPIAL boys basketball scoring leader is proving his record-breaking opening act to his scholastic career was no fluke as he is off and running through defenses around Western Pennsylvania.
Cugini had one of the biggest scoring nights in WPIAL history Friday night when he scored 55 points in an 87-78 overtime victory over Nazareth Prep.

52 Andrew Burda, Venango Catholic senior, scored 52 points on(1/25/21)  in an 80-55 win over Forest Area. Burda had 22 field goals and was 4-for-10 from the line. He needed 45 points for 1,000 in his career – so he finished the game with 1,007 and is still counting. He is the 13th player in school history to reach 1,000. Burda tied Mark Garbacz’s single-game school record.
