The Stellar
Tourney had numerous great games this year in the 2009 edition. Kudos to Joe
Arndt at Nazareth for putting the pieces together in year six at the helm.
He has done an outstanding job with that program! They played without two
starters and created a nice resume with a huge wins over Trinity and Glen
Mills in one weekend. He decided to use up 4 remaining team fouls against
Glen Mills on Sunday (up by 3). Dick Vitale was happy about that. However,
Nazareth fouled Alexio Rosario on a 3 point attempt with two tics remaining
and put him on the line for three free throws. Rosario drained the first
and before the second of three Coach Arndt decided to ice him on the second
shot. It did not work Rosario swished it. Then, call it Lehigh Valley VooDoo...but
the wind curiously picked up and affected his final shot taking it visibly
to the left of the rim! Nazareth pulled off the victory.
