You have a really great site, here is a message I want to pass alongto you as a fan of Reading High Basketball for over 35 years.

Well thanks to coach Dan Walck, Reading High's program has sunk to thelowest possible level ever in the long history of a fine basketball tradition.Tonight's 64-52 loss to Oley Valley was a total disaster. Not to take anythingaway from Oley, they played excellent defense, made adjustments to breakevery press put on them, passed the ball well and blocked out underneath. All these things were once the trademark of the great Reading teams of past. The Reading faithful have not seen these things or anything close to resemblingthem since the beginning of coach Walck's rein in 1999. Well there is hopeahead, as the word is that he will not be returning as coach, a word I usegenerously, next year.

Pen Argyl, High school has a 6'-9" junior this year -Michael DeMaristhat someone should start paying close attention too. Coming from a smallschool this player could be missed in the college draft next year and goto a smaller college.

Bill, I'm interested in becoming a high school basketball official. I've
played years of organized basketball and in fact help to organize a local
basketball league at my local YMCA some years ago. I officiated the first
year of it's existence. I live in Ebensburg, Pa. (just north of Johnstown).I
would be much appreciative if you could direct me as to what I need to do.
Thanks so much. My email address is pricealk@yahoo.com
Thank You - Al Price
